What does an ATS do, and what does this checker measure?
An applicant tracking system stores applications and provides tools for extraction, search and review. Employer settings vary. ATSGrader runs independent checks against public rules; its score does not determine whether an employer accepts your application.
Is this resume checker really free?
Yes. The scan — overall ATS score, category breakdown and your top issues — is free, with no signup and no email required. A one-time $9 upgrade unlocks the full report: every finding with line numbers, the complete keyword gap table, and editing guidance for every weak bullet.
Is my resume uploaded to your servers?
No. The entire analysis runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your resume text never leaves your device — we couldn't read it even if we wanted to.
How does the keyword match work?
We extract weighted terms from the job description and check their occurrence in your resume. Keyword coverage has a 30% weight in our diagnostic when a job description is supplied. Employer search and review settings vary; this does not reproduce their private ranking.
What file formats can I check?
Paste text or choose a PDF, DOCX or TXT file. Text extraction runs in your browser. Image-only PDFs require a text layer for this checker; other products may offer OCR. Use the parser preview to inspect what was extracted.
How do I know the Pro report is worth $9 before paying?

How can I fix my resume after the scan?
The $9 full report includes the resume editor. Apply suggestions manually using only truthful details and watch your score update live. Edit supported PDF, DOCX or TXT files while retaining supported original layouts; DOCX may reflow. Unsupported PDFs and edits that are too long to fit are rejected. Export your selected version for €10.
